i am a teacher of E and I face some difficulties to deal with Ss who are weak.they didn\'t want to understand .i try many times and my supervisor told me to try again and again

First, i\'d like to welcome you to our fourm, praying that you will spend useful and interesting times with us.

Yes our classes have some weak students whom called slow learners. and they need special way of teaching. you may do lots of things, i think that they want to understand but the problem that their english language is not helping! meaning, their ablities in english is not suitable for the stage they are in. Therefore, its our role as teachers to help them. i believe that good teachers who make difference on those kinds ot sudents not the A students. they are good if u we are here or not, they can learn lots of things by theirselves. But the slow learners are the one who need us and we have to give them alot from our times.
here are some stratigies that you may follow:
- you may design a worksheet for them only. given as an extra work that they either can do in class or at homes.
- sometimes when you are teaching in groups, you may seperate the bright students in group providing them with different worksheet and tasks while the other group (group which is consisited of the slow learners) is working on a different worksheet and easier tasks that suit their level and abilities.
- you may arrang classes for them, disccussing some basics information, skills, Grammar.
- incorage them to take part in ur classes, let them feel that u feel their presences. let them answer easy questions or repeat answers or even read you a line or a question written on the board, book anywhere. :)
- have a meeting with ur students, a friendly one.talk with them their problems and the reason that they face in english as a subeject. and promise them that you will help but you need them to help you help them :)
